Enhanced Cavity Closer Innovation

Dynex Optivent^® cavity closers take innovation to the next level with concealed ventilation slots and unique horizontal nailing grooves for easier installation. Drainage, air flow and the prevention of pests or vermin entering the cavity are achieved through the concealed vermin strip with concealed vertical slots. The unique design provides twice the ventilation requirement of the New Zealand Building Code. This cavity closer system or vermin strip provides ventilation, prevents vermin intrusion and supports weather tightness by allowing drainage and air ventilation to dry the cavity should moisture breach the external cladding. Dynex Optivent^® cavity closers comply with New Zealand Building Code section E2/AS1 (9.1.8.2).
